Description

Ideal for treating Gamekeeper's/Skier's Thumb, Basal Joint Arthritis, and Thumb Tendonitis. Constructed of Kuhl? perforated neoprene for cool, comfortable compression. Radial, palmal, and dorsal stay pockets contain a malleable aluminum stay and a spiral stay, which can be mixed and matched for desired support. Wrap around design for one-handed application. Circumferential strap fits a wide range of thumb sizes. Fits both the right and left hand.

Comments: I bought this brace since the one my MD gave me for Gamekeepers thumb was overkill - it had a metal bar that wnt from my palm to well down my forearm. As my need was just to stabilize my thumb, not my wrist too, I didn't need all that. The Santa Barbara model was exactly the right amount of stabilization while allowing mobility elsehwere. The drug store models are about 1/2 the price, but they only have one stabilizer rather than the 3 this model uses. I would highly recommend it.
